Introduction
Some couples build their wedding around a color, and some build it around a feeling. Lisa Yeaton and John Rocha managed both — a lavender summer wedding so warm and so completely theirs that every guest felt it the moment they walked onto the vineyard.
On June 26, 2026, Lisa and John were married at Zorvino Vineyards in Sandown, New Hampshire, surrounded by 139 of the people they love most. Soft purple roses, string lights strung beneath timber beams, a gazebo framed by the summer vineyard, and a bubble send-off that sent them off into married life on a cloud. It was elegant, it was joyful, and it was rooted in family from the very first steps down the aisle.

The Setting: Zorvino in Full Summer
Late June at Zorvino Vineyards is the property at its most generous. The 80 acres are deep green and fully leafed, the grape arbors heavy with vines, the gazebo standing against a wide summer sky, and the outdoor patio open to the warm evening air and the signature red barn beyond.
Lisa and John’s day used the full canvas — the venue, wedding suite, gazebo, and outdoor patio — beginning with a gazebo ceremony and flowing directly into an outdoor cocktail hour on the patio, that beloved Zorvino experience available only May through October. There is nothing quite like a summer evening on that patio, glass in hand, the vineyard glowing in the last of the light.

The First Look: A Private Moment, With One Special Guest
Long before guests arrived, Lisa and John shared their First Look photographs — and they were not alone. Their dog, Tessie, joined them for the portraits, because a family photo is not complete without the whole family in it.
Photographer Alli Photo, out of Chelmsford MA, captured the couple across the Zorvino grounds, with the grape arbors, vineyard rows, and lush lawns offering one perfect backdrop after another.
Fun Fact: First look moments like this allow for couples and bridal parties to participate more in the celebration later on, as they get to share these private moments for capturing memories prior to the guests arrival.

The Ceremony: A Gazebo, a Mother & a Groomsman Who Made It Official
Beneath Zorvino’s gazebo with the summer vineyard stretching out behind them, Lisa and John exchanged their vows. The gazebo was framed with lavender and blush florals by Ford Flowers, the sky a soft blue overhead, and the aisle lined with white chairs and every person who mattered.
Two details made this ceremony unforgettable. First, Lisa was walked down the aisle by her mother, Pauline — a mother-daughter aisle walk that carried its own quiet, powerful meaning. And second, the ceremony was officiated by David, one of the groomsmen and a close friend — himself a twin to Best Man Danny. Being married by someone standing in the wedding party, someone who knows you from the inside, gives a ceremony a warmth no script can manufacture.
The wedding party was a full one: five bridesmaids, five groomsmen, Maid of Honor Sarah, Best Man Danny, ring bearer Wyatt, and flower girl Mya. As Lisa and John were pronounced married, the guests sent them back down the aisle through a cloud of bubbles.

The Details: Lavender, Candlelight & Vineyard Charm
Ford Flowers brought Lisa’s lavender summer wedding vision to life in a palette of lavender, purple, and cream — soft roses, lisianthus, and green hydrangea gathered into lush centerpieces that sat atop wood slabs, glowing under votive candlelight. Sheer drapery framed the dance floor, catching the string lights strung beneath Zorvino’s timber beams and the loft above.
The couple wove personal touches throughout the room. A Memory Table honored the father of the bride, holding four framed photographs — a tender, quiet corner amid the celebration. Cork letters spelling their last name and a whiskey barrel top guest book leaned fully into the winery setting. And in lieu of traditional favors, guests took home mini candles alongside Zorvino wine favors from the vault winery — a keepsake that carried the day home with them.

The Feast: A Classico Menu
Lisa and John chose Zorvino’s Classico Wedding Package, and every course delivered.
Cocktail hour opened on the patio with a wine barrel pouring Zorvino Rosé and a Formaggi e Frutta display — assorted cheeses and crackers, crudités of fresh vegetables with herbed dipping sauce, and a fresh fruit display. Three passed hors d’oeuvres circulated through the crowd:

Asian Inspired Beef Skewers
Chicken Meatball with cucumber, sweet and sour, and Thai herbs (DF)
Dinner opened with a choice of Caesar salad with herbed croutons or mixed greens before guests chose between Chicken Piccata — boneless breast sautéed with lemon, wine, and capers (Lisa’s choice) — New York Sirloin with herb butter (John’s choice), or Butternut Squash Ravioli for vegetarians. Every plate was served with fresh baked bread and the chef’s seasonal vegetables and starch.

The Stunning Cake: Jacques Pastries
Jacques Pastries created a stunning three-tier custom wedding cake — ivory buttercream with lavender scrollwork and piping, crowned and cascading with clusters of lavender roses and green hydrangea, displayed on a cork-lined stand atop a Zorvino wine barrel. Served with a coffee and tea buffet, it was as beautiful as it was delicious, and the cake cutting led straight into a dance with the groom and his mother.

The Music: Get Down Tonight Entertainment
Get Down Tonight Entertainment — DJ Brandon Despres — ran the evening from introductions through the final song, with a photo booth by Emma keeping the energy high all night. From the First Dance and a photo dash through two toasts and speeches and a dance floor stocked with glow sticks and glasses, Brandon kept the room moving right up until the bar closed at 11:00 PM. The event ran until 11:30 PM, and by every account, nobody wanted it to end.
