Tan, blush, and light pink ran through every detail, the evening moved at its own unhurried pace, and by the time the garlic fries came out at 10 PM, nobody in the barn was thinking about what day of the week it was. This was a wedding built on the couple’s own terms, right down to choosing a weeknight and making it the party everyone remembers anyway.
The Setting: An Estate That Doesn’t Wait for Saturday
There are winery venues in New England, and then there is Zorvino.
Eighty acres, family-owned since 2004, with a different backdrop around every corner — vineyard rows heavy with July grapes, the open-air gazebo, the greenhouse conservatory, the orchard, and a two-story timber-frame barn that holds a room together no matter what night of the week it’s dressed for. What sets a Zorvino wedding apart isn’t one feature; it’s the way the whole estate becomes yours for the day, whichever day you pick.
Yazmin and Nick took full advantage of that flexibility, choosing a Friday evening and giving themselves a private bridal suite for the morning, a groomsmen’s lounge complete with a gaming console for the afternoon, the gazebo for vows, and the patio for cocktail hour before the barn took over for the night. The Morning: Two Suites, Two Very Different Mornings
Yazmin’s day began at 9:00 AM in the bridal suite, where hair and the easy morning-of energy of getting ready with her closest people set the tone early. Across the property, Nick and the groomsmen rolled into their own lounge at noon — couches, a gaming console, and a TV giving them exactly the kind of low-key afternoon that keeps pre-wedding nerves in check.
It’s the built-in luxury of a full-estate venue: two separate spaces, two separate mornings, and nobody rushing anybody.
The Ceremony: Vows at the Gazebo, and Five Minutes Just for Them
At 6:00 PM, with the vineyard as their backdrop, Yazmin and Nick exchanged vows beneath Zorvino’s gazebo. Their officiant was someone who knew them better than anyone could — Yazmin’s own brother, Jonathan — who led the ceremony with the kind of warmth only family can bring to the altar.

The Welcome: Cocktail Hour with a Slushy Worth Waiting For
From 6:30 to 7:30 PM, guests spilled onto Zorvino’s patio for cocktail hour — one of the estate’s signature summer experiences, complete with bocce, fire pits, and the vines close enough to touch. Yazmin and Nick upgraded to an open beer and wine bar for the hour, but the real star of cocktail hour was the signature slushy bar: a pear white wine slushy alongside a pink lemonade version, plus a virgin mojito mocktail for anyone sitting the alcohol out. On a July evening, there is no better way to keep a patio full of guests cool and happy.
The Details: Tan, Blush & a Guest Book Worth Signing
Yazmin’s palette — tan, blush, and light pink — carried a light, airy elegance through every table, with Britton Design’s custom centerpieces anchoring wood slab bases, rose gold chargers, and dark wooden table numbers. Sheer drapery framed the dance floor, a wine barrel card box and a dark seating chart welcomed guests in, and a custom monogram along with a sweetheart table runner and sashes tied the whole room together.
Then there were the details that were pure Yazmin and Nick. Guests picked up disposable cameras to capture their own version of the night, grabbed paper fans to stay cool, and — in the most talked-about detail of the evening — signed a football jersey guest book, leaving their well-wishes across the fabric instead of a page. Mr. & Mrs. hats made the rounds on the dance floor, and the couple’s own dog, Milo, had his name on everyone’s lips even though he stayed home for the night.
The Feast: The Classico Wedding Package
Yazmin and Nick chose Zorvino’s Classico Wedding Package, and the menu delivered from the first bite to the last.
Cocktail hour opened with a Tuscan Grazing Table — Italian cured meats with crostini, imported and domestic cheeses, spinach dip, crudités, seasonal fruit, marinated mushrooms, and mixed olives — alongside three passed hors d’oeuvres: arancini with marinara and parmesan, tempura cauliflower with curry aioli, and scallops wrapped in bacon.
Dinner opened with a champagne toast and a Caesar salad before guests chose between herb-stuffed chicken, a prime rib au jus (the couple’s own pick for their sweetheart table), or a butternut squash ravioli for the vegetarians in the room — each plated entrée served with fresh bread and butter.
And at 10:00 PM, the kitchen sent out the surprise that had the whole barn cheering: mini cheeseburgers and hamburgers with special sauce, served alongside garlic fries. It was the exact right ending for a room that had been dancing for hours.
The Cake: Chickadee Hill Cakes
@chickadeehillcakes built a towering cupcake display for the occasion — a single cutting cake crowned at the top, tiers of cupcakes cascading beneath it, finished with fresh roses and a gold script sign reading “The LaValleys.” Served alongside a coffee and tea station, it was every bit the centerpiece a room full of dancing guests kept coming back to admire.
The Music: Main Event Entertainment — Tom Darling
Tom Darling of Main Event Entertainment ran the night from the first introductions straight through the last song — a show-stopping first dance, three heartfelt toasts from Best Man James, bridesmaid Tianna, and father of the bride Jose alongside Colleen, and a dance floor that filled up fast and stayed that way through parent dances and a full group photo. A photo booth ran alongside the party all night, giving guests one more way to take a piece of the evening home with them.
