Something Blue, Something True: Melissa & Turner’s Spring Wedding Celebration at Zorvinos
By DSD | May 31, 2026

Introduction

Some couples spend months chasing the perfect wedding aesthetic. Melissa and Turner already knew exactly what they wanted for their Spring wedding celebration: simple, rustic, and elegant — blue and white, warm and real, with the people they love most gathered on a May afternoon at a New Hampshire vineyard.

On May 31, 2026, that vision came to life at Zorvino Vineyards in Sandown, New Hampshire. With 107 guests, one very good boy named Biggie, and a flower girl who owned every second of her moment, it was the kind of Spring wedding that reminds you what celebrating love is actually about.

The Spring Wedding Celebration Setting: Zorvino on a Late-May Sunday

There’s something quietly special about a Sunday wedding in late May. The grounds are lush, the pace a little softer, the afternoon light a little longer. At Zorvino Vineyards, the 80 acres were in full bloom — vineyard rows, koi pond, the gazebo nestled in green, and the outdoor patio opening toward an open New Hampshire sky.

Melissa and Turner’s day unfolded across the venue, wedding suite, gazebo, and outdoor patio — ceremony at 4:00 PM in Zorvino’s indoor fireside space, followed immediately by the outdoor cocktail hour from 4:30–5:30 PM. That golden late-afternoon light on the patio, vineyard at your back, glass of sangria in hand — it is a Zorvino experience available only May through October, and it never gets old.

The First Look: A Father, a Daughter & a Private Moment

Before a single guest arrived, Melissa shared her First Look with her father, Keith — a moment that belongs to them alone, unhurried and unwitnessed. It is one of those wedding-day rituals that produces the most genuine photographs of the entire day, and the most treasured memories that follow.

Photography was handled by Rebecca of Garone Photography for six full hours, with Tom and Lisa of Precious Moments Video alongside her capturing every moment on film.

The Ceremony

At 4:00 PM, Melissa and Turner exchanged their vows in Zorvino’s indoor fireside ceremony space — officiated by their aunt, making it as personal as a ceremony can be. There is something irreplaceable about being married by someone who has known you your whole life, who speaks about you from love rather than from a script.

The Details: Blue, White & Britton Design

The aesthetic Melissa and Turner chose — simple rustic elegance in blue and white — was carried through every surface of the reception beautifully.

Britton Design created lush custom floral centerpieces that anchored the room in natural warmth, while the tablescape built the full picture around them: silver charger plates, round mirror centerpiece bases reflecting the flicker of votive candles on each table, and sheer drapery framing the dance floor — that luminous, ethereal backdrop that makes every dance photo look like it belongs in a magazine.

On the dance floor: 10 Fat Heads — oversized photo cutouts that had guests laughing and posing all night long. Cocktail napkins, candles, and framed photos added the personal finishing touches that made the space feel like them.

And don’t overlook the Chocolate Favors Station — guests left with something sweet in hand, which is always the right call.

The Welcome & the Feast

Guests arrived to a Red Sangria welcome — 102 glasses poured, with Virgin Mocktails ready for those who preferred — flowing directly into the outdoor cocktail hour with open beer and wine.

Inside, two stationary displays set a generous table:

Formaggi e Frutta — crudités, fresh fruit, assorted cheese and crackers

Tuscan Display — charcuterie, imported cheeses, seasonal fruit, spinach and artichoke dip, fresh breads and dipping oils

Plus four passed hors d’oeuvres that were genuinely exceptional:

  • Crostini with ricotta, honey, and mint
  • Arancini with marinara, spinach, and parmesan
  • Curried Chicken Lettuce Wraps with crispy shallots and Aleppo pepper (DF)
  • Meatball with marinara, parmesan, and breadcrumbs

Dinner opened with the Zorvino Salad — candied pecans, apples, goat cheese, raisins, and apple cider vinaigrette — before guests chose between Harvest Chicken with herb stuffing and white wine parsley oil, Filet Mignon with herb butter (Turner’s choice), or Stuffed Bell Pepper for the vegans.

And at the Sweetheart Table? Melissa ordered chicken fingers and fries. With asparagus, because balance. It is, without question, one of our favorite bride moves of the season — and it was perfect.

The kitchen sent out the late-night surprise: the French Fry Station. Waffle fries, steak fries, and sweet potato fries with assorted toppings — served to 107 guests who had been dancing for hours. A fry bar at a vineyard wedding is an inspired choice, and the room agreed unanimously.

The Cake: Chickadee Hill Cakes

@chickadeehillcakes delivered a custom wedding cake alongside cupcakes — served with a full coffee and tea buffet as the evening wound into its sweetest hour. The cutting cake and cupcake combination gives guests options, and Chickadee Hill Cakes ensures every option is worth choosing.

Fun Details:

GDTE Darwin kept the energy exactly right from the moment introductions wrapped through the last dance before the bar closed. Three toasts and speeches, a couple’s thank-you, cake cutting, parent dances, a group dance floor photo, and a dance floor full of guests who didn’t want the night to end — all in less than five hours, which is exactly how a well-paced reception feels: full without being rushed.

An Audio Phone guest book gave guests a way to leave voice messages for Melissa and Turner — one of those modern touches that becomes an unexpectedly meaningful keepsake.

The Dog: Biggie 🐾

No wedding recap for Melissa and Turner would be complete without mentioning Biggie — their dog, who was very much part of the day. Zorvino Vineyards’ sprawling grounds are as welcoming to four-legged family members as two-legged ones, and Biggie made the most of every acre.
