Postcards, Pretzels & Cold Sparks: Khyrstyne & Michael’s Travel-Themed Wedding at Zorvino Vineyards

"Travel themed vineyard wedding at Zorvino Vineyards: Khyrstyne Quigley and Michael Pieroni kiss under floral arches at the pond as cold sparks rise behind them"

Ticket for 132

Before the ceremony started, ushers rolled an airline cart down the rows and handed every guest a bottle of water and a bag of pretzels. That set the tone. Khyrstyne Quigley and Michael Pieroni planned a travel themed vineyard wedding, and on Saturday, September 19, 2026, they brought 132 guests along for it at Zorvino Vineyards in Sandown, New Hampshire.

The theme showed up in places guests could hold. Postcards served as the guest book. Each table carried the name of a place the couple has visited. The cake had a world map pressed in gold and a small airplane on the top tier. This blog follows the day the way the couple built it: as an itinerary.

Destination: Sandown, New Hampshire

Zorvino is an 80-acre wooded estate, family-owned since 2004, and Khyrstyne and Michael used a wide stretch of it. Khyrstyne got ready in the bridal suite. Michael and his groomsmen had their own suite with couches and a gaming console. The ceremony took place at the pond, cocktail hour moved to the patio, and the reception filled the post-and-beam barn.

Each of those spaces sits a short walk from the next, with a golf cart on hand for anyone who needed a ride. Guests never boarded a shuttle between ceremony and reception, and the couple never left the property to find a portrait backdrop. Vineyard rows, the orchard, the greenhouse conservatory, the gazebo, and the red barn were all within reach.

Pre-Flight: Mimosas, a Beer Bucket & Two Miller Lites

The bridal suite opened with a mimosa bar and chicken Caesar wraps for Khyrstyne and her bridesmaids. Michael and the groomsmen arrived to a beer bucket stocked with Miller Lite and Guinness.

Khyrstyne’s first look was with her father, Eric, and the two shared a Miller Lite before the photos. Ramzi of @bostonphotoco and his assistant photographed the day.

Boarding at the Pond

Guests took their seats on white garden chairs facing the pond, with the fountain running and tissues waiting at the ceremony. @fordflower brought in two floral arches for the occasion: white hydrangeas, coral gerbera daisies, blush roses, and eucalyptus climbing each side.

Tony, a friend of the couple, officiated. Six bridesmaids in dusty rose satin and six groomsmen stood with them, along with a flower girl and a ring bearer. Molly stood as Maid of Honor and Bob as Best Man.

For the kiss, cold sparks from DJ Rock rose behind the couple at the water’s edge. Bubbles were part of the ceremony too.

Layover on the Patio

Cocktail hour moved to the outdoor patio beside the vines, where Zorvino’s bocce court and fire pits gave guests room to spread out. The patio is open May through October, and a mid-September evening is one of its best windows. The couple poured Red and White Sangria as their signature drink, alongside an open bar of beer, hard seltzer, and wines made at Zorvino from its own estate. A venue that produces its own wine puts a different glass in every guest’s hand than one that brings it in.

Khyrstyne and Michael set out custom cornhole boards with “Khyrstyne + Michael, EST. 2026” lettered on stained wood. Alpacas visited for photos. Later in the night, a cigar bar with ashtrays gave guests another reason to step outside.

Seat Assignments

Inside the barn, every table named a place Khyrstyne and Michael have traveled together, so guests found their seats by destination. A welcome sign greeted them at the door, and a memory table stood nearby.

Ford Flowers carried the ceremony palette onto the tables in low centerpieces of ivory hydrangea, blush roses, peach dahlias, and red hypericum berries, each set on a wood slab with two votive candles. The couple brought their own card box and invited guests to sign postcards in place of a traditional guest book.

In-Flight Service: The Reserva Package

The couple chose Zorvino’s Reserva Wedding Package. Passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour included mozzarella skewers, arancini, meatballs, and bacon-wrapped scallops. Dinner opened with a champagne toast and Caesar salad. Khyrstyne chose the prime rib, Michael chose chicken piccata, and butternut squash ravioli was offered for vegetarian guests.

Later in the evening, the kitchen set out a late-night s’mores spread with chocolate bars, Reese’s thins, marshmallows, and graham crackers.

A Cake With a Flight Path

@chickadeehillcakes built a four-tier cake that told the theme in detail. A gold world map wrapped the second tier. A dotted line piped in white traced a flight path across the third tier and ended in a heart. A small gold airplane sat on the top tier, and navy ribbon and pink roses finished each layer. The cake stood on a glass display filled with Zorvino wine corks, lit from below, and was served with a coffee and tea station.

Cruising Altitude

DJ Rock ran the night from introductions forward. Fog rolled across the floor for the first dance. Three toasts followed, from Khyrstyne’s father Eric with Tammy, Maid of Honor Molly, and Best Man Bob, before the couple thanked their guests. Cake cutting, parent dances, and a group photo came next, then the garter and bouquet toss and open dancing until the bar closed.

DJ Rock also ran a 360 photo booth, and @milestonesnewengland provided wedding entertainment for the evening.

Night Arrival

At the end of the night, guests lined up outside with bubbles and faux sparklers for the send-off. Back inside, Khyrstyne and Michael had the floor to themselves for a private last dance, with fog for that one too.

Two First Student buses took guests back to the Holiday Inn in Salem, and the couple rode with them.
