Introduction
Josenie Colagene and Mathias Macenat were married at Zorvino Vineyards on Thursday, July 2, 2026, on a warm, clear evening at the height of the New Hampshire summer.
What stayed with us about their day was how close their family was to the center of it. Their six children were part of the first look. Josenie’s older brother walked her down the aisle. Mathias’s cousin handled the music, and Josenie’s maid of honor did her hair and makeup. When the special dances came later that night, they were with a brother and with a mother.
A hundred and twenty-one guests came to celebrate two families joining together, and by the end of the night the room felt like one.
The First Look: All Eight of Them
At four o’clock, before guests began arriving, Josenie and Mathias saw each other for the first time that day — and their children were there for it. The seventeen-year-old twins, Mathilda and Mathias Jr., sixteen-year-old Maisha, Matheus at thirteen, Matthew at twelve, and Victoria at eleven.
Portraits followed across the property. Z’Adour Studio Photography took them through the vineyard rows in full July green, along the stone walls, and down the gravel lanes lined with wine barrels and summer planting beds.

The Ceremony at the Gazebo
At six o’clock, guests took their seats on the lawn facing the gazebo, with the koi pond fountain and the vineyard beyond it. Pastor James Yansen officiated.
Josenie walked down the aisle with her older brother, Philippe.
The wedding party was small and deliberate: two bridesmaids, two best men, Matron of Honor Marsha and Maid of Honor Juliette, with Gene and Sheker standing for Mathias. The older children stood alongside them, and the younger ones sat in the front row where they could see everything.
Mathias wore a sage green suit. Josenie carried white roses and lilac wrapped in twine — the whole color story of the evening was already there in her hands.
Cocktail Hour: Bacca Z on the Patio
Zorvino’s outdoor cocktail hour runs May through October. Guests moved out onto the patio beside the vines, where a Zorvino wine barrel was set up and tapped for the hour.
Josenie and Mathias chose Bacca Z, our sweet blackberry and red wine blend, poured with their compliments.
The Tuscan Grazing Table went out alongside it — Italian cured meats with crostini, imported and domestic cheeses, spinach dip with pita chips, crudités with Boursin, seasonal fruit with honey vinaigrette, marinated mushrooms, and mixed olives. Three passed hors d’oeuvres circulated as well: mozzarella skewers with tomato, basil, and olive oil; chicken meatballs with cucumber, sweet and sour, and Thai herbs; and arancini with marinara, spinach, and parmesan.
The Details: Sage, Lilac & Wood
The palette was sage green and lilac, grounded in natural wood. Sage runners ran down the guest tables over wood slabs, and the timber frame of the reception hall carried the rest.
Ford Flower designed the centerpieces in soft yellow roses, lilac stock, blue delphinium, and gerbera daisies. Zorvino’s complimentary drapery framed the dance floor.
A small card at each place setting let guests know that champagne toast glasses for anyone under twenty-one would be filled with ginger ale instead. With nineteen young guests and a two-year-old at the table, it was a thoughtful piece of planning — two-year-old Savannah shared a meal with her four-year-old cousin Sophia at table seven.
Reception Dinner
Josenie and Mathias chose our Classico Wedding Package. Dinner opened with a Caesar salad and herbed croutons, followed by stuffed chicken with herb stuffing, white wine, and parsley oil — Josenie’s choice — or haddock with garlic parsley butter and breadcrumbs, which was Mathias’s. Butternut squash ravioli went out to the vegetarian guests, and chicken fingers and fries to the youngest ones. Every plate came with fresh bread, seasonal vegetables, and chef’s starch.
The Cake: Jacques Pastries
Jacques Pastries made a three-tier sage green cake with piped scrollwork around the middle tier, a sculpted sugar ribbon down the front, and a crown of ivory roses with lilac and blue accents that echoed the bouquet.
It was displayed on a glass-topped wine barrel in front of the fireside room’s brick hearth, surrounded by candlelight.

The Music & the Dances
DJ Martel, the groom’s cousin, ran the fantastic reception, and Get Down Tonight Entertainment set up the photo booth.
