Brittany Aubuchon and Colin McPoland were married at Zorvino Vineyards on Saturday, July 11, 2026, on a warm midsummer evening, with a theme they described in one perfect phrase: whimsical, magical forest.
You could see it everywhere. Greenery ran across the beams and up the fireplace, a wildflower crown sat in Brittany’s hair, the cake was painted to look like white birch, and the whole hundred-and-fifty-five-person celebration felt like it had grown up out of the woods around it.
Getting Ready
The morning was unhurried and generous. Brittany’s suite opened early with coffee, tea, and a mimosa bar, and the food kept arriving through the day — a fruit platter, then cheese and crackers, then a charcuterie board, then sandwich wraps as the afternoon went on. The groom’s suite got its own spread and a bucket of Sam Adams to go with it.
The First Look
Before the ceremony, Brittany shared a first look with her father — a quiet moment set aside just for the two of them before the day opened up. From there, Rebecca Garone took the couple out across the property for portraits.
Brittany wore a wildflower crown in soft blue, peach, and lavender, and carried a loose garden bouquet with blue thistle, peach roses, and greenery. Colin wore navy with a blush tie. The photographs moved from the vineyard rows — grapes just filling in on the vine — to the fountain and the wild, layered garden beds that Zorvino keeps in full bloom through July.
The Ceremony at the Gazebo
The ceremony took place at the gazebo, dressed for the occasion with cascading florals in blue, cream, and peach and trailing wisteria down the posts. Guests sat on the lawn under a clear summer sky, the vineyard rolling out behind them.
Brittany’s brother Ben officiated. There is a particular weight to being married by your own sibling, and it settled over the whole ceremony.
Cocktail Hour & the Reserva Package
Zorvino’s outdoor cocktail space runs May through October, and a warm July evening on the patio beside the vines is close to the best case for it. Brittany and Colin’s two signature drinks — a rum punch and a red sangria — went out to guests as they came off the lawn.
This is a good place to talk about what they chose, because the package makes a real difference in how a night like this feels. Brittany and Colin booked our Reserva Wedding Package, which sits a full step above our entry tier. Where a simpler package offers a single grazing display, Reserva puts out two — the Formaggi e Frutta with crudités, fruit, and cheeses, and the Tuscan Display with imported and domestic cheeses, charcuterie, olives, spinach and artichoke dip, and fresh breads with dipping oils. It moves from three passed hors d’oeuvres up to four: Asian-inspired beef skewers, coconut chicken with pineapple chutney, scallops wrapped in bacon, and spinach and cheese arancini. It brings a champagne toast, a plated salad, a full dinner, a custom cake with a coffee and tea buffet, and — the part guests always remember — an included late-night snack.
From there, Reserva gives you room to build. Brittany and Colin upgraded to an open bar for the full length of the reception and added an espresso and specialty drink cart for the back half of the night. That is the idea behind the tier: a genuinely abundant base, with the freedom to add the touches that make the night yours.
The Details: Greenery, Candlelight & a Forest Come Indoors
Inside, the whimsical forest really took hold. Ford Flower ran greenery along the bistro lights and up the brick fireplace, carried a floral swag from the gazebo through to the sweetheart table, and set tall floating-candle centerpieces among low arrangements of blue delphinium, peach roses, and wildflowers on wood slabs. Green uplighting washed the timber frame and the hearth, and the couple’s monogram — Mr. & Mrs. McPoland — glowed on the brick above the mantel.
The favors were matchbooks, one at each place. The guest book was a deck of playing cards. Small, particular choices that fit the couple exactly.
Dinner
Dinner opened with a Caesar salad and herbed croutons, then moved to the entrées: chicken piccata in a lemon, wine, and caper sauce — Brittany’s choice — or slow-roasted prime rib with au jus, which was Colin’s. Butternut squash ravioli went to the vegetarian guests, and every plate came with fresh rolls, seasonal vegetables, and chef’s starch.
This was a guest list with a long list of dietary needs behind it, and the kitchen tracked every one by name and table — gluten, dairy, nut, shellfish, and more. It is the kind of work nobody sees on the night, and it is what lets a hundred and fifty-five people relax at the same time.
Later, a French fry station came out — waffle, steak, and sweet potato fries with an assortment of toppings — the included late-night snack that Reserva is quietly known for.
The Cake: Jacques Pastries
Jacques Pastries made a four-tier cake painted to look like white birch, complete with penny-bark detail, trailing ivy, and a small chickadee nesting at the very top. It was the whimsical-forest theme turned into dessert, and it sat on a wine barrel ringed with candlelight beside the sweetheart table.
A coffee and tea buffet was served alongside, and the parents were served their cake first — with a chocolate raspberry slice set aside for the father of the bride.
The Reception: Music & Dances
Billy Rears of Get Down Tonight Entertainment ran the reception. After introductions and the first dance came three speeches — the father of the groom, the maid of honor, and the best man — followed by cake cutting, parent dances, and a group photo. From there the floor stayed full for the rest of the night.
